I first started thinking about creating another blog about six months ago. While I still intend to write for, A Sacred Exchange, I was starting to feel called to write reflections that I felt stretched beyond the original scope of this blog.
Some of my beliefs and paradigms had begun to shift and expand. Certainly, many of these shifts had happened as a result of my enrolling in a seminary program and returning to formal studies. Some had unfolded as I emerged from a challenging winter season, and worked through its loss and grief. And there were several people and opportunities that were providentially placed in my path, each that challenged me to see things through different lenses.
And then about a month ago I attended the Rise Up, Sister retreat. It was a formative weekend for me in that among so many positives outcomes, it encouraged each participant to use her imagination and gifts, and to rise up and effect positive change. This became the catalyst for me to move forward and create a new blog and to update my Facebook page so that I would have a site that would capture these evolving reflections.
As a result, I have created a new blog, The Stones Call. Please come and check it out! As with this blog, I will encourage engagement with the posts, on both the blog and the Facebook page, because I believe that a richness happens when we are open to consider differing viewpoints and are willing to engage in the thoughtful and respectful conversations that help us consider new or novel perspectives.
